IMPORTANT: 

Students aged 14 years or younger at the time of the GLA program will be required to travel as an unaccompanied minor.

Flight Requirements:

• Fly into and out of Cusco, Peru (Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport, airport code: CUZ)

  • • Please Note: Students will often have to transit through Lima. This involves collecting their bags and proceeding through customs and immigration before rechecking their bags to their destination. Please allow a minimum of 3 hours to do this. A GLA Airport Coordinator will be on standby to assist with any travel related issues such as baggage, flight delays, etc.

• Arrive between 05:00 (5am) and 14:00 (2pm) the day your program begins

• Depart between 05:00 (5am) and 22:00 (10pm)  on the day your program ends

Suggested Route:

The suggested route - usually the most direct, least number of stops, and always leaving from a US gateway airport. Often times, multiple students from the same program will be on this flight, simply because it is a popular route to take. We cannot guarantee that other students will be on this flight, but very often there are. You do not have to take the suggested route - it is just one option. You may take any flight you wish that falls within the flight parameters above.
